The boy in the ruins
It was pitch black, nothing. All I had was my fiery flame, from my wooden torch. My pale, swollen feet trudging on the cold pebbly floor. Splinters on my burnt hands from the rough wood of the torch, I couldn’t afford to drop it, since it was my only source of light. All of a sudden, a beam of light shone on my lifeless face. I had forgotten what it was like to see light; I Had not seen it in a long time. I saw the symmetric patterns on the stone walls. I stubbed my toe on what I think are old, cobblestone stairs. I lift up my foot onto the first rocky step. One. Two. Three. I can feel my heart is pounding. One. Two. Three. I finally reach the top. I tilt my head up, only to see a dark, gloomy passage way, like a haunted house, waiting for someone to enter. I took one step closer. Then another. Then another. The charcoal path sucking me in like a child in an irresistible playground. When I enter, I feel a pang of regret in my dark heart. I knew now, there was no turning back. I was a piece in a game of death, and there was no escape.

I am lost. I couldn’t remember the last time I saw light, or my beloved family. I look ahead, but instead of seeing nothing, I see a dark gloomy hole. I crawl in, un-alarmed about what could happen to me.
I proceeded on my dark journey, in golfed in curiosity and eeriness about what is ahead of me. I take one more step forward, only to see a speck of light coming from above. By the minute, it’s increasing by size. I run forward, in hope of life, only to lay my eyes on…
I close my eyes, only to feel my thudding heart beat that was like my whole life flashed before my eyes. I can see my mother. My father. My brother. I had a family. I open my eyes, only to see a whole city of ruins, swallowing all darkness. My eyes aching in agony, as I haven’t seen light as long as I could remember.
I run forward in hope of life beyond darkness, but in front of me I see an outline of another living human, standing a couple feet away from me. I freeze in shock. I can’t move. I can’t breathe. I can’t believe what i have just witnessed. I gasp for breath.
I hear a gasp. I spin around. I see another figure eyeing me down like a predator hunting its prey. My heart is pounding I urge myself to say something but I am lost for words. We’re both a statue. I can’t believe what I have just witnessed.
“Uhh……Hhhi” I mutter with a shaking voice. I feel a sudden connection into my once lonely heart. I feel a tingly feeling shiver up my spine. I think I remember her from somewhere. I suddenly remember. I had a family. I had a mother. I had a father. I had a sister. She is my sister.
I hesitate to answer. Then I suddenly feel a pang of life shoot through my Blake heart. I remember him. He was the person that me smile and laugh. He was the person who encouraged me to try new things. He was the person who helped me over come my fears. I remember him. He is my brother. “Uhh…i remember you…you’re my brother.” I say, my eyes welling up with tears.
Many moons ago, in a village that was so beautiful, until it was invaded by the Trojans. The houses and land were burnt down and left nothing. It destroyed everything and a poor man and woman’s boat. His name was Arian and hers was Arriadnie and they had fished together every day. They were the fisher man and woman for the village.
Three years of hard work soon led Arriadnie to become ill and sick. Arian helped her as much as he could but they both did not work, which meant the village was getting no food this led to a starvation. Arriadnie last said
“just remember are gold in are boat”
After a year later Arriadnie died, Arian could not bear not seeing her every day. He soon stopped the starvation but he did not feel good.
“You are our life saver” a girl exclaimed,
“You are a savvier we always needed “a boy shouted,
“You are like a god” the meaning of those words struck him he was a god .They crowned him king.
Many seasons past and King Arian had built a palace next to a city the palace was made of gold and marble. It glittered in the sun light and shone in the moon light.
“This is a fine, palace but it is not perfect, I will make a boat, and it will be beautiful and people will admire it, I will fish for food that will taste like the finest foo from all the land.”
Years passed and the magnificent ship was built
“Now I need a trident” He thought to himself. On that night he prayed to Hephaestus for a trident as fine Poseidon’s. When he woke up from his sleep, the trident was there next to him. It was gold and bronze and shiny as Athena golden shield.
“This is a trident fit for a king” he boldly said “I will build gold walls but i must find my old fishing boat to find my gold”
As the moon slowly rose on that day King Arian fell asleep into a deep, deep dream
“Why do you do this you foolish man give your people food don’t let then starve” A deep voice murmured Arian woke up suddenly
“What was that?”He questioned himself
The next day King Arian was looking through his boat when he saw the gold he seized it and the boat started to be dragged out to sea until he was in front of his expensive ship he thought he did not know why he was there but it was a great view of his palace. A clap of thunder shocks his boat. Then a strike of lightning struck his ship, a strike of lightning came again it caught on fire
“No my ship why would this happen to me”
The old boat started to sink and then Arian was no way to be found. He was dead.

They leapt from the edge, as they plummeted down the side of the king’s tower towards the dark blue sea. The wings opened and caught them just an inch before the ground. They darted up, whilst they glided through the warm afternoon air. As Daedalus was flying through the air Icrus was getting the hang of flying he was soaring through the sky Daedalsus was worried about him because he was so high. Icrus said he was better than the sun god Apollo. Apollo was angry at this and started sending sun raise towards the wax on his back. The wax started to melt and all of a sudden he started plummeting towards the black sea. His body was never to be seen again.
