Alone

I’m locked in; I can’t breathe; It’s suffocating me.

The only thing I can see is darkness, pitch black.

All I can hear is my voice trying to speak, but not much noise is coming.

My dirty, red hair is flowing in the wind, in my eyes so I can’t see.

A single tear rolls down my face.

Help.

Earthquake

I’m lost- empty. I’m alone- there’s only me and a pile of torn rubble.

Blood is trickling down my leg, and it stings, but there is no doctor to help me, it’s all destroyed.

I am sitting on pile of fallen rubble that I used to call home- sitting on a pile of fallen memories.

People in England. Their lives are perfect. Why isn’t mine? As I am thinking of how my life turned out to be, I think of my parents and how their lifes have turned out to be. They’re gone forever. And right now, I want to be gone forever too.

Tears start to trickle down my cheeks. Then I hear footsteps, then a voice.

“James! James!” The voice said.

“Evie? Is that you?” I exclaimed.

“Yes! It’s Evie, your sister!” She replied.

She ran over and fell into my arms.

The shot of my life

I walk onto the pitch.

Each and every member of the crowd has their eyes glued to me.

I take the pass, and think; do I really deserve to be here?

I start to walk off the pitch, but wait.

I have worked way too hard not to play this game today.

I AM a good player.

I CAN score a goal.

I CAN win a match.

And I CAN prove that to everyone.

I walk back onto the pitch. I hear a gasp from the crowd.

Then I run up and take the shot of my life…..

Haphendom and the earthquake

Many moons ago, in the time of the Trojan War, lived Haphendom and his parents. His father’s name was Themeas and his mother’s was Helena.

They lived in a war-torn village in troy that used to be grand but now was crumbling. Every day soldiers would charge past their house.

One boisterous night, when exhausted Haphendom was in bed, Themeas and Helena decided to discuss their troublesome situation.

A mysterious figure……….

A MYSTERIOUS FIGURE

I was weaving well as usual, sitting on my stall, when I glanced up and darting through the crowd, I saw a mysterious figure. She was light on her feet and always looking around. Her dark eyes were scrunched up and constantly darting from side to side. In the strong wind her wild, wiry hair flowed. Her eyes brows were thin and low and the bones were showing on her cheeks. She was creeping low, like she was hiding from the crowd. Like a spring, she leapt out the way as a strong bold man was about to bump into her. Then she saw me. She crept closer and closer to me, she was so low down she was almost on the ground. “What are you doing?”She whispered.  “I’m w…w…w…w…wea…wea…weaving,” I replied nervously. “Yes, you are weaving. But what have you got that effects you and everyone?”She said. “I…I don’t know.” I said. “ You’ve got hubris, and you need to stop.”

You know that this is a god going to warn Arachne to stop having hubris, but which god? In your comments write which god you think it is.

The unfortunate end of Icarus

As they leapt from the vast tower ledge, their strong, powerful wings spread. They soared upwards. Icarus and Daedulas weren’t very good at first but soon enough they were gracefully floating in the gentle summer’s breeze. They had mastered flying. They had flown far, far away from the king’s tower when Icarus started to get higher and higher. “Look at me! I am inspirational! I am even better than Apollo, the sun god!”Icarus yelled loudly! “Don’t go too high Icarus; your wings will fall off!”Warned Daedulas. “My wings won’t fall off! They are strong and powerful!”Laughed Icarus, as he flew closer and closer to the sun. Suddenly, the wax on his back started to melt! “Oh no! My wings are falling off!”Screamed Icarus. He started to fall. “I did warn you Icarus, I feared this Icarus.”Murmured Daedulas. Icarus plummeted into the deep, dark sea below him and he was never to be seen again.
