The earthquake

Iscolation;disbelief

A boy, who had recieved the bad news, sits;he sits in a small area, alone. Rubbish and scrap scattered across the floor. Buildings have collapsed including his house-his home.

His mind racing through the memories with his parants. he tried not to believe it, but it was true . His parants were dead.

Tears formed in his eyes and started rapidly rolling down his face. Now he was alone.

letter to king Philip

Dear King Philip,

On our expedition we stumbled into a building that appears to be from an ancient civilization. We have not yet found out what civilization though. The building has three intriguing features that makes it look like a temple: the doorway had been carved to look like some kind of god they possibly worshiped. A statue placed in the top right of the building is made of stone and is the top of a man’s body there are dark parts on the statue that suggest that it had been painted before. On the wall are carved patterns that decorate the wall. The question is: What civilization it is?

Yours sincerely

Dean

A hooded figure

As I glanced up a swift movement in the crowd caught my eye it was a hooded figure with long brown hair then I blinked and she was gone. I went back to weaving and then I heard someone catching their breath behind me. I sprang to my feet fearing the worst but it was that hooded figure who I saw in the crowed she was tall and had broad shoulders. Her eyes were cold icy black pebbles, she had thin stern lips wanting to tell me something. Her face was pale almost white. She had bulging muscles that made me scared of her. Then she said in a venomous whisper ‘you shall not offend the gods,’ as she was speaking her eyes darted from side to side.

Who’s the hooded figure?

The ending of Icarus

L.O can I retell the ending of a story using noun phrases and accurate verb choice?

As they leapt from the tower ledge, Icarus and Dadalus plummated down the side of the tower. As they let the feathered wings spread, they shot up! Catching the afternoon breeze Icarus had built up confidence and started manoeuvring around in the air current .As they flew over the tempestuous sea Icarus soared up higher into the azure sky dadalus started getting worried and warned Icarus not to fly to high but Icarus ignored him an flew higher. He cried I’m beating Apollo at his own game, Apollo heard this and so he told the sun to raise the heat. The stiff wax started to melt on Icarus’s  burnt back. As the great  wings on Icarus’s back  fell of the fear that dadalus was dreading all this time had happened Icarus plunged down and down and SMACK! Breaking all his bones in his body he drowned to the bottom of the oceon and that was the end of Icarus.
