Devastation, loss

Devastation; loss.

I  look round, tears roling down my  face. I ‘m neglected. But then I see a hand reach out to me.  I carry on stariring into all my brboken memorys.  I picture what had happend this morning…

It’s all calm, everyones going about their day. I feel, I feel somthing shaking, should I move or should I stay were I am. I look down and see a crack appering in the ground. I didn’t care at first.

Suddenly  everyones paniking . I dont remember much after that: I only remember never seeing my family ever again.

I hear a voice “ Are you ok.”

I start crying, i didn’t mean to.

I look down and remembered the hand and answered “ No.”

I went with him, he asked me again when we got to a safe place  I replied “Yes.”

my life started to change at that moment.

Crossing over

A young girl gathering flowers; following a twisted path.

Following her heart, nature all around her.

Animals scurrying past her, but on the horizon a dark storm.

She is running out of time.

Is she going to make it?

Thunder, lightning striking the face of the earth.

Then she saw it: a dark sinister look.

Her spine tingling.

Its pale life less face split into an evil grin.

Then staring at her, a figure appeared.

His coal like eyes narrowed to slits: a glimmer of evil.

Then it spoke. A splinter of ice in his voice, “It’s time, time to cross over to the other side.”

The shinny death

The shinny death

Many orbits ago, it was the time of all inventions. There was one small girl whose mum was being put to work. It was one of many days of the year. The girl as three years old and was finally able to be named, she was named Helen.

Years had past and Helen’s mum had died of old age. Helen was now being put to work in her mothers place.

Ajax her house holder went out for the day and Helen saw her chance to escape. She did. The rest of the workers followed Helen. By the shore Helen found a boat that belonged to Ajax. It was finally there time to escape from their worst nightmares.

After there long journey they reached a deserted island. It was perfect. They could now rebuild their homes and live their lives how they were before. They were out looking for material to use to rebuild their homes , then Helen stumbled across this brightly coloured object. It was gold. She had recognised it because all of Ajax’s crockery was made out of it. Back at the camp, Helen boiled it over the fire, it created a lot more than they all expected. With all of the gold they reformed it, boiled it then did the whole process again.

As the streams past, time did to, the gold had turned into the main material used for all the buildings. Because Helen had come across the material she was then crowned Queen but Helen said “no I do not deserve to be Queen” but the people insisted and so she took the offer.

As the seasons changed and changed again, people had come from different lands fleeing from the Argos was. As the weeks flew by more and more refugees had come in. Helen was troubled by the amount of people coming in. So Helen decided to build magnificent walls out of marble and gates made out of gold.

But this did not stop all the refugees coming in, Helen found loads of them on the streets of her beautiful city. Helen thought about all this and took a few in, about twenty and sent the other two-hundred away to build their own city on another island.

Up in the sky’s on top of Mount Olympus Hephaestus was not happy. He was the one who had put the gold in the noticeable place because he felt sorry for Helen and her past. But he did not realise that it would carry on reproducing.

That night he was so troubled by Helen he interfered into Helens dream, and told her to stop using the gold and the marble for all her creations.

The next day Helen did not listen to Hephaestus’ warning and built a marvellous church to prise the gods. Hephaestus was so angry at Helen but pleased at the same time but the pleasing only lasted a hour or two. Hephaestus started to turn all the rivers into liquid silver.

For the rivers to turn completely into silver it took three of the four seasons, the rivers kept rising and rising gradually again.

Then suddenly the banks of the river burst open, everyone saw and screamed but Helen, she was still asleep in her palace because no one had come to wake her. when she woke she ran out side, she couldn’t find anyone she then saw this  mysterious figure out of the blue, she ran to the middle of the city. She didn’t have time to act. Then the worst thing happened, the liquid silver came rushing over her first it covered her feet then her legs, and slowly it started to cover her worrying body. When it reached her  head all was lost she was slowly and painfully suffocated to death. With the last  bit of her breath she yelled for help, but no one could hear her shout.

When the flooding had stopped and Helen had died the citizens came back in, they mourned for a very long time.

Over time they chipped away at the silver and Helen’s now solid silver feet had come free from the ground.

For a while she had been put outside her golden palace but now she was going to be admired in the silver stained centre of her beautiful city for all time. The good thing about that is that everyone is reminded of all her hubristic behaviour and now they all care about each other and don’t boss each other around.

The end

mysterious warning

I just finished explaining to someone about weaving. I turned around and saw a mysterious broad shouldered figure barging towards me.

He stopped, shouted at random people, then carried on barging his way towards me. As he came closer, I could identify more and more of this strange man, he had scars all over his face, blood dripping from his arms and  blood shot eyes.

He screamed across the open plan area, “How dare you treat yourself like a god. You are not immortal! You shall treat us with respect, this is your first warning, your second… Well you’ll probably find out later in your life.”

This startled me.  As soon as I heard this, I listened to half of the warning. The other half I wish I had.

Which Greek deity has arrived to deliver their warning?

The ending of Icarus

Lo: Can I retell the ending of a story using noun phrases and accurate verb choice?

They leapt  from the tower ledge. As they plunged down their glittering feathered wings unfurled. They shot up just a few inches above the ground! Daedalus warned Icarus not to go to high nether too low or the wax will melt and the feathers will get heavy from the water, but Iacrus did not listen to his farther, and he flew a lot higher than he should of, he shouted “I’m better than Apollo!” Apollo heard this and he ordered the sun to shine his rays towards Icarus, but then the wax on his back started to melt. Suddenly he started to tumble , tumberling so much he couldn’t control it. At that moment he fell to his death and he died from the impact of the water. Icarus was never to been seen again by his farther.
