As they leapt off the tower ledge the white glistening wings unfolded and they shot up. Then all of a sudden they both glided across the sea. Icarus got the hang of flying but he flew to high so Dadilies had to call him back but Icarus did not listen, soon after that Icarus was competing against the sun god Apollo. After a short amount of time Apollo shone his light over the glistening towns, then suddenly Icarus’ wax started to melt and dripped into the sea, after a few seconds of sweating and worrying Icarus plummeted into the blue sea of DEATH!

As they darted down the king’s tower their tender ivory white wings spread out across their blistering backs .they glided up! They soared across the electric blue sky their feathered wings easily cutting through the rushing air. Icarus swiftly started to shoot upwards towards the scorching sun. “Boy don’t fly to high” cried dadelus but icarus was swooping and twisting above him to notice. “ with my talent for this flying I could do anything even take on the sun god” whispered icarus with a smirk. The furious sun god Apollo over heard and sent the beaming rays of the sun to melt the wax sticking the battered wings together. the sun shone upon icarus and slowly red wax started to trickle down his back. Then suddenly icarus started to fall ,icarus tumbled out of the sky and plunged down into the crashing sea below, the impact crumpling every bones in his body. for years icarus rotted in the furious sea forgotten by all but his father who wept for the rest of his life .

They leapt out of the tower window, adrenalin pumping in there vains. They were out! They were plummeting towards the ground, seconds away from death! Their wings sprang to life as they were lifted into the azure sky, like the gods had lifted them and welcomed them to their world. The blistering pain from the wax had nearly vanished. “Don’t fly t high or the wax on your back will melt! Daedilus warned. Icarus ignored his father for he thought he was better at flying than the sun god himself! Up he soared until he was flying with the clouds. The powerful sun god, Apollo was furious that a mere mortal like Icarus would challenge him! Apollo shot a raise of sun upon Icarus’s back. Icarus plunged into the waters deep.

Icarus was never to be seen again. Or was he?

Deadelus and Icarus leaped for their life off the tower ledge , Deadelus was first to jump and  Icarus was second . Deadelus  plummeted down and then  Deadelus shot up into the  salty air. And then it was Icaruses turn to jump off the tall jagged tower  he took a deep breath and he jumped! He was just about to hit the ground until his wings unfolded and he took of like a bird in to the air

Both Icarus and Deadelus were air born  they were both amazing at weaving in and out of houses . At first Icarus was terrified of dying  but Icurus was flying really really high “ICARUS GET DOWN HERE” Deadelus shoted he flew so high and scremmed “Im better than Apollo  Apollo hated that and in fact he  sent a sun ray and the ray was so hot that his wax melted and the wings fell of and he fell straight into the sea.

THE END

The terrifying ending

As they tumbled from the tower ledge they nearly struck the golden sand. Their powerful feathered wings on their backs began to unfold in the breeze. They shot up. Icarus glided across the shimmering sea below them. They were flying. Daedalus knew if he flew to close to the flaming sun the burning wax would melt. So he told Icarus, who was becoming over confident. Daedalus told him to stay at the height of the vast mountains on the coast line. But Icarus didn’t listen. Icarus had mastered it, he had become very ignorant. He soared higher and above the height his Daedalus had told him to stay below. Then the confident Icarus hovered to close to the shining sun above him. Helios the son god felt cheated. Icarus was boasting about how great he was, claiming that he was better than the sun god. Helios didn’t like this Icarus still didn’t listen and climbed higher. Daedalus warned Icarus again but it was too late. The beaming flaming sun rays hit the hot wax. Icarus had thoughts racing through his head that didn’t make sense. Then Daedalus’s great fear became true. The burning wax on Icarus’s back flowed down to the raging sea.

The devastating tale of Icarus in the underworld

LO: Can I use noun phrases and accurate verb choice to help carry a theme through a piece of writing?

Darkness. Icarus exceedingly heavy eyelids slid open. It was all a blur; he was plummeting, tumbling out of the azure blue sky. The churning unforgiving water rushing up before him and…Silence. It all came crystal clear, he was in the underworld. The overwhelming despair, surged through his body, the horrifying truth dawned on him. He was dead. An expression of melancholy spread across his face, he could remember it all, tears began streaming, cascading down his face, and he had thrown his life away. He stared all around him, the vast nothingness of the underworld made up his surroundings. He was never going to see his father, Daedalus, again; because of what? Because he thought he was far superior at flying than Helios. He was a fool, for aggravating a God; for thinking he could defeat Apollo at his own game. He was to be a prisoner of the underworld forever more.

Icarus’ sad ending.

They leapt from the tower ledge. As they plunged down the ledge, their white feathered wings unfolded. They bolted upwards. They flew across the murky sea. Shortly, Icarus got confident in flying. He flew high like a bird could fly. The blistering sun burnt Icarus back. Icarus had excessive confidence that he had hubris. He had too much ignorance. He even thought that he was better than the god Apollo! Daedulus warned him not to climb any higher or else. Unfortunately, Icarus ignored again! There was now a competition with Apollo. Icarus flew higher that Daedulus until he soar higher until he got closer to the sun. Apollo thought that Icarus needed a punishment. He made the sun as hot as he can. The blazing sun touched on his back and the wax melted. The wax dripped and floated onto the murky black sea. Icarus plummeted down whilst Daedulus followed behind him. Icarus was falling fast. Daedulus did not know what to do because he did not know what to do to save Icarus. Daedulus wished Icarus had listened to him. Icarus had sunk into the gushing riverbank. Icarus was never to been seen ever again so Daedulus went home by himself.
