pirate ship!

Friday 1st  December 1506

We found a broken pirate ship, dazzling with a marvelous treasure chest full of delicate rubies. We found dead pirate bodies infested with sea worms, on the broken cracked deck. Unfortunately, if the pirates survived we could have helped them. We were going to eat the sea worms, but they slithered back into the everlasting ocean, while the horizon was settling down.

Saturday 2nd December 1506

Today the storm calmed down, it was a perfect day for going fishing. While we were exploring the ocean, then our fishing rod got hold of a fish. I and my gentleman had allot of fish like it never ended. Then, we saw a hostile crocodile that may have come from the uncharted island.

Letter to king Phillip

Dear king Phillip,

I am writing to inform you of an extremely intriguing structure that my crew and I have discovered whilst proceeding on mine and my crew’s troublesome journey of travelling through the dense rain forest. I will give you an inference and a description of what this new artifact looks like so that you can make a decision on what you would like us to do.

We saw that this unknown construction has: something that looks like a balcony, a pyramid shape, four staircases on each corners of the pyramid, lots of tiny stones and pebbles in fact, it was hindered with stones. To be specific, the pyramid had all kinds of staircases, different shapes and sizes. One of the staircases, was very steep and was shaped pleasantly, whereas, the other one was very small and shallow, it had so many stairs, nearly twice the same as the one opposite it. This pyramid was almost symmetrical it had things different shapes and sizes so it wasn’t accurately symmetrical.

It has occurred to me that I need to conclude on this, and by doing this, I need to write an inference: This structure may have been used as a holy place of worship, due to it being very tall and closer to the sky; it was also empty and made you feel cleansed. There was something that looked like a balcony on the top of the pyramid, I was thinking that people go up the stairs on the pyramid and get straight to the top, near the balcony and start praying or just having some quiet thinking time to themselves. This pyramid may have also been used as something a bit like an activity to get to the top and see what you can spot up there, as a result, it had stairs and it was very lofty.

We were all hindered with questions about this mysterious pyramid and not entirely sure of what to do. Thank you for your time, your majesty.
Yours sincerely,                                                     The crew

Letter to king Phillip

Dear King Phillip,

I am here to inform you that I have stumbled across an old stone structure and I would like to tell you about it. It has the finest patterns carved out of stone, there is a hole in the middle of what happens to be a small entrance. Above the small entrance are 4 stones, carved into what looks likes massive teeth. Beneath the entrance is a tiny jaw, with 3 blunt front teeth and 2 razor back teeth.

A new life line

Thursday 8th May 1506

The rain is heavy, the water’s rough and the boat’s wretched.

We are getting ready to sail home as we have little chance of finding new land to search .The rations are low and our hopes of succeeding the exploration are lower.

At the last minute, the lookout spotted what we suspected was an island in the east. We decided to venture towards our new location as it would surely be better than going home with just a few gold coins at hand.

After our greatest efforts of fighting of the ocean waves, we finally reached land. It appeared to be quite fruitful, we will search our new lifeline at dawn

letter to king Philip

Dear King Philip,

On our expedition we stumbled into a building that appears to be from an ancient civilization. We have not yet found out what civilization though. The building has three intriguing features that makes it look like a temple: the doorway had been carved to look like some kind of god they possibly worshiped. A statue placed in the top right of the building is made of stone and is the top of a man’s body there are dark parts on the statue that suggest that it had been painted before. On the wall are carved patterns that decorate the wall. The question is: What civilization it is?

Yours sincerely

Dean

An exciting journey

Day 1

A new expedition: a fresh start; the Colombian rainforest: many dangers and a whole host of opportunities.

I could not have asked for anything more from the first stage of our journey. My crew and I efficiently obtained enough supplies to last us the first week of our adventure. We pressed on through the last hours of light, proceeding on our journey. We came across many barricades of fern and ceiba overwhelming us with claustrophobia. I could see from the look on their faces that it troubled my crew but there was no chance that I would let it faze me.

We put up our tents at seven pm and feasted on a succulent lizard dinner roasted on the spit that my closest friend accompanying me on the expedition – Dr.Davies – set up. Day one was a large success.

I must finish now for if we are to reach new heights in the forthcoming days I must rest.
