They started in prison and then the sun was there, and then Icarus and Daedalus flew into the sky but Icarus went beside the sun.
Daedalus and Icarus were on the tower because they wanted to fly.
Icarus and Daedalus was flying but Icarus flew beside the sun and Daedalus was trying to save Icarus but he couldn’t save Icarus.
The structure of this is very imaginative – the sun is introduced right at the start and returned to at the end. The sense of contrast, ‘but’, creates a sad, moving feel as we see how helpless the father is.
Yes and when Icarus was punished I don’t think Icarus should be punished
That was a lovely recount of the story , well done Insha
Hi Insha!
You have built in lots of emotion here with the experience of the prison and the sadness of the father who has lost his son. Can you find another word that means ‘flying’ to avoid repeating the same verb?
Well done you!
Mrs Grant
