Many thanks, Miss Cronin.

Please remember any photos you download are for your personal use only – if there are other children in the images please don’t share them on social media – thank you!

This is what you get! It is organized by month and then ordered by the date the post was added. You’ll see an html file with a thumbnail, text notes or captions, folder names and links (if the post used the Link item type). You’ll also see the original image, video or audio files.

Shoes for P.E. outside

It is that time of year already when we start to take our P.E. lessons outside into the playground and onto the field.
There is also a new Sports Club for Reception that runs during lunchtime on Thursdays.  It takes place in the Reception playground and the children are invited to join in if they wish.
The children will therefore need some suitable footwear (e.g. a pair of trainers) that they can keep in their P.E. bag.
Please send the shoes into school this coming Monday or as soon as possible.
Many thanks for your continued support!

The 48 hour return to school rule

It is that time of year again when we ask everyone to please help us stop the spread of norovirus (otherwise known as the winter vomiting bug) around our school.

Norovirus is the most common cause of stomach bugs in the UK and it spreads very easily in schools.  It spreads even more easily in Early Years Units (Reception and Nursery classes) because the children are still learning to manage their own personal hygiene and they touch more surfaces and toys than the older children.

How you can help:

Please keep your child off school for a full 48 hours after the last bout of vomiting or diarrhoea.

If your child returns sooner than this, they are likely to spread the virus to other children and staff, even though their symptoms have passed.

Please check out the NHS guidance page which explains more about how the virus spreads and how the 48 hour rule works:

http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Norovirus/Pages/Introduction.aspx

If you are unsure about whether your child can return to school, please phone the school office for advice.  Do not bring your child to school and then check with us, as we would really like to avoid situations where we have to ask you to take your child home again!

Finally, please be aware of just how quickly and easily this virus can spread.  Occasionally, schools are forced to close for deep cleans if too many staff and children get sick!

http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/news/west-london-news/suspected-outbreak-norovirus-leads-hounslow-10704537

So please stick to the 48 hour rule and help to reduce the spread of this nasty virus.

Many thanks for your help and understanding!

Please save your recycling for us!

We are always in need of resources for our junk modelling area and would be grateful for any donations of:

  • small boxes and tubs (plastic or cardboard)
  • cardboard rolls (toilet and kitchen)
  • egg boxes
  • plastic lids (bottle tops, margarine lids, etc.)
  • ribbons, string, wool, buttons, sequins, material scraps
  • anything else of an interesting shape or feel from your recycling box!

Many thanks!

Can my child bring things in for show and tell?

  • We would like to remind everyone that all toys and treasures should stay at home where they can be kept nice and safe.
  • If children have made or written something at home we would love them to bring these things in and we’ll do our best to find some time for them to share their work with the rest of the class.
  • Similarly, the children are always encouraged to bring things in related to our current topic (please check the current topic booklet for suggestions – you can find this on the handout tab of this blog).
