One day Daedalus and his son Icarus went to King Minos’s palace.
He wanted to build him a maize. Daedalus had completed it took him one year and one day. Then he found the truth. The maize was a prison for the minoteaur. So he tried to leave but he could not leave king Minos stood in their way. So they got trapped in the tallest tower Icarus was happy but Daedalus was not. But Daedalus had a plan.
Then one day Daedalus made a set of wings then he woke up his son and told we can escape. Melt the wax onto your back and then place the wings on your back.
Icarus stood on the window sill. He took the leap of faith. He did not know he was going to meet his doooom! Out of the window he fell then his wings caught the wind and he was saved. So he mastered flying then he went too close to the sun and said “I can fly higher than the gods.”Apollo heard him. Suddenly the gravity felt stronger then he plummeted, the G force was so strong it made his face turn inside out. Because he flew to close to the sun and the wax melted and he made fun of the gods he was never seen again.
He his face turned inside out this is a great clause it really paints a fantastic picture in my head, it also turns the atmosphere much darker and give the feel of doom (like you said)
One of my favourite phrases you used was this one: he took the leap of faith, this demonstrates that the leap was of faith and I can’t wait to use it in my writing.
