Peaceful Life
Birds, swiftly soaring through still air,
landing gently on high branches,
they overlook the beautiful forest,
their eagle eyes scanning the area,
tranquil waterfalls gush down smooth stones
sending ripples of water through the glistening pond below.
Tall, thin trees sway gently in the soft breeze,
frenzied gibbons swing from the top most branches of the rainforest,
hooting to their neighbours and dancing to a tune.
Rays of sunlight peep through the trees and pierce the damp
forest floor, shoots emerge, willing to win the race of sunlight
and grow into a beautiful tree that towers over the rest of them.
But little do all the animals know is what lies ahead and waits
for them at the end of the day that will scare them the most.
I like your poem because you have used loads of adjectives like rays of sunlight peep though the trees and everything else you have put in your poem. Love Sade
