Storm in the rainforest

The sweet blue azure skies,

cover the rainforest like a blanket.

Birds tweeting, gibbons singing.

Trees reaching for the sky and plants,

wanting to be in the spotlight of the sun.

The humid air,

Tranquil

Waters running down the streams,

Peaceful rainforest.

Inky black clouds shroud the sky.

Rain falls,

piercing the sky like bullets.

The ground trembles in fear,

As the thunder growls its last warning

Gibbons screaming,

Birds squawking.

Crack!

Thunder crashes,

Lightning strikes,

Trees shaking uncontrollably.

But then the storm calms.

The crowd of black clouds fades away

and the crystal clear sky,

Takes its place.
