Kynigos the hunter

Down the stream of time, there once lived a young man named Kynigos. Kynigos lived in a small town known as Nyks, in the heart of Greece. He loved hunting, but he would only take what he and the town needed.

Everyday Kynigos would pray and sacrifice a young deer to Artemis. One day (when Kyingos was praying) he recived a message from his friend  from his friend that the almighty hydra was attacking the city. Kynigos prayed for a couple more minutes. When he finished , he found Artemis’ bow lying next to him.

He raced into town with the bow, he was shooting arrows rapidly, searching for the correct head . Finally after many attempts, he found the correct head. The hydra came crashing into the ground.

The town cheered.” We must repay you”announced one of  the citizen. Kynigos didn’t accept this offer as he was a humble man.

A few days later,  Kynigos raised the prices of food knowing the town loved him.He became extremely rich. That day the king offered him half the town and his daughter as kynigos’s wife. This time Kynigos accepted the offer.

As the town grew poorer and Kynigos became richer,Kynigos made innocent people construct a palace for him, with no cost.

Later he found Artemis’s pet, it was a calm mystical lamb.He thought ‘I would get a lot of money from this’ so Kynigos followed it. He took out a long spear, aimed at the pet and thew the it. The aim was perfect.

Darkness fell over the city, forks of lightning struck the houses. The gods were furious. “Don’t worry the Gods are harmless they won’t hurt me.”Proclaimed Kynigos.Zeus was shaking with anger.Artemis suggested  to turn him into a horrifying mix of different animals. All the Gods agreed on this idea.

The next day ,when Kynigos woke up he realised he was a mix of animals: fox, squirrel, tortoise and a bear.

He ran off and was never seen again.

  1. Great job Olivia! I really like the part of ‘in the heart of greece’ because it gives a more clear image about where it actually is.

You have also linked back to the previous paragraph which helps it flow.
