Report To Prince.

Your highness

, as your orders were to find a new place to settle, I have found a perfect site which is on a peninsula located on the south eastern Peloponnese. This area is situated on the coast, which is flooded in flat land with mountains surrounding the bay.

Being in the harbour of the Peloponnese bay will ensure transportation with trades being made left right and centre. With the fish being collected, it is hugely advantageous for the merchants who would be making lucrative deals and trades. Living with the sea on your side will make the town vulnerable to piracy, floods and possibly tsunamis.

The proximity of other cities is near but a safe distance away from others so other cities would have a long journey to come and attack. Although you aren’t in a close distance to other cities, the routes are all near land so you would not be stranded in the centre of the everlasting sea and being hundreds of miles from land.

Living near mountains is hugely advantageous due to its water source that it provides. However, if a storm hits, there may be Landslides occurring. Unfortunately, escaping to the mountains is a tough source of travel. The towering mountains provide protection from all enemies attacking.

Overall, there are numerous reasons why you should and should not build your new city in the south east Peloponnese. But in the long run, the advantages are far more powerful than the disadvantages. Therefore, I highly recommend constructing your city here.

  1. Connor, I really like your word choices (e.g. lucrative and situated) because they are accurate yet engaging which really draws the reader in and maintains the balanced style. Well done, Mr Foley.

  2. I really like your advantage and the disadvantage. word that you used really fits in the text (e.g unfortunately escaping to the best mountain is a tough source of travel)
