The torrential storm

Golden rivers of sap flow through the Emerald Kingdom.

Birds sing in harmony.

Tranquil waterfalls gush.

Drip,

Drip,

Drip,

The rainfalls on the trees.

The torrential down pour shoots like bullets.

Frenzied gibbons howl.

Induries dive for cover.

Toucans evacuate for shelter,

BOOM!

Thunder strikes.

The ground trembles in fear.

Trees falling.

And life hides and quietens,

Huddles and curls,

Stills and listens,

And waits.

Weary, the storm comes to an end,

It’s over.
