We hope you all enjoyed our F.S.U and KS1 production of ‘Jesus’ Christmas Party’. The children have worked very hard to learn all of the songs and it was wonderful to see them perform their lines with such clarity and confidence.
In English this week we have read the story ‘The Way Back Home’ by Oliver Jeffers.
The children wrote shape poems describing the rocket used in the story. They also generated adjectives to describe the setting and how the boy was feeling when he crashed after his rocket failed him. Next week, we will be using these descriptions to write a list poem.
In maths we have been learning to identify how many tens and ones are in a 2-digit number. The children used base 10 materials to represent a chosen number.
Next week it is the turn of the ‘But Martin!’ table for Show and Tell (Charlie, Lizzie, Theo and Michael).
