Rainforest Experts

This week  the children wrote their amazing information pages about rain-forests. They worked hard to include the key features:

  • A title that is big and bold
  • An introduction
  • Information that is grouped
  • Picture with a caption

Here are some examples of the children’s work:

In maths the children have been reviewing position and direction focusing on quarter, and full turns. We will continue with this next week.

In phonics we have been reviewing the following sounds:

  • a-e
  • ai
  • ay
  • aw
  • ew

There are words containing these sounds for the children to practise available on the Spelling Shed website: https://play.spellingshed.com/#/login

Next week on Thursday 25th March the children will be creating a rain-forest diorama for an art project. On Monday 22nd March, please could the children bring in a small box (preferably a shoe box) to use to complete this project. This is to ensure the boxes have enough time to quarantine before being used. Some examples are below:

Thank you so much for our beautiful flowers, it made our day! It was so kind and thoughtful of you.

We hope you have a lovely weekend,

Miss Luetchford and Mrs Sharon 🙂
