In English we have explored different styles of poetry. We learnt that some poems can rhyme, some can be silly, some can form shapes but all poems need words.
Some children then felt inspired to write their own poems on a whiteboard.
These are now in our class poetry book.
In class we read the story ‘The Way Back Home’ by Oliver Jeffers. We then wrote a list a poem describing the setting and the character’s emotions.
In maths we have been learning about part, whole models. We then started to use these part whole models to solve addition equations.
In D.T we learnt how to create a moving picture by making a lever or a slider. Here are our amazing products:
Next week we will be completing our history unit about the moon landing and space exploration by learning about Mae C Jemison, before starting our geography unit after half term.
