This week we planned and wrote our newspaper reports about the Lonely Beast. We made sure to include a catchy headline, subheading, key information and a picture to match the information.
In maths we have been continuing addition and subtraction, focusing on our number bonds to 100.
In science we performed an experiment to test the suitability of different materials to make an umbrella. We each chose the materials we thought would be best, predicted what we thought might happen and then tested the materials to see if our predictions were correct.
Next Thursday your child can take home their books from their time in Year One. Please can your child bring in a sturdy, named bag ready to go.
Congratulations to Izzy and Oscar who have been elected as our School Councillors and to Bobby and Senara who will continue as our Faith Champions.
