Year Two Blog 8th November

This week’s blog is written by Ben Grogan and Caitie Thompson.

“This week, we have been learning how to count money in maths. We made different amounts and we learnt about pence first, then pounds.

In English we have been reading the books Esio Trot and Journey. Esio Trot is for our guided reading and Journey is for our writing. We have been learning how to write noun phrases such as ‘twisted trees’ and ‘shimmering river’.

In science we have been learning about the different features of animals. We have looked at each of the animal’s features and said what is the same and what is different. My favourite animal is a reptile because it sheds its skin as it gets bigger (Ben). My favourite animal is a chameleon because they change colour (Caitie). We have also put the animals into groups and we learnt that we are mammals.

Today we have art and we are making poppies for Remembrance Day. ”
