Year One Blog: Story Boxes

This week we enjoyed making our story boxes. We used a variety of materials when making our beautiful creations.

Here are our fantastic story boxes. Can you guess the story?

In maths this week we have been completing our termly assessments to consolidate all of our learning. A copy of these assessments were handed out during this week’s parent consultations.

This week’s book recommendation is written by Micheal.

“I am recommending the book ‘The Twelve Tasks of Hercules’.

The story is about a man called Hercules and he is the son of Zeus who is the King of all Gods. It is an adventure story because he has to go to all of these different places to complete these different tasks to become a true hero and God. I really liked it when he tried to kill the lion with a wooden club. He hit the lion on it’s head and the lion pounced onĀ  him but Hercules defeated it! I would give it 10 out of 10!”

We hope you all have a restful break,

The Year One Team
